A conveyor belt, also known as a carrying belt, is a rubber and fiber, metal composite product, or a plastic and fabric composite product used in belt conveyors to carry and transport materials. Belt conveyors are widely used in agriculture, mining and industrial enterprises, and transportation industries to convey various solid block and powdery materials or piece goods. They enable continuous, high-angle transportation, safe operation, easy use and maintenance, low freight costs, and can shorten transportation distances, reduce engineering costs, and save manpower and material resources.

Conveyor belts, also known as carrying belts, are rubber, fiber, and metal composite products, or plastic and fabric composite products, used in belt conveyors to carry and transport materials. Belt conveyors are widely used in agriculture, industrial and mining enterprises, and transportation to transport various solid, block, and powdery materials or piece goods. They enable continuous, high-angle transportation, are safe to operate, easy to use and maintain, have low transportation costs, and can shorten transportation distances, reduce project costs, and save manpower and material resources.
There are many types of conveyor belts. Classified by application, they include: general-purpose conveyor belts, flame-retardant and anti-static conveyor belts, generally flame-retardant conveyor belts, heat-resistant conveyor belts, high-temperature resistant conveyor belts, acid and alkali resistant conveyor belts, oil-resistant conveyor belts, cold-resistant conveyor belts, etc.
Classified by structural material, they include: ordinary cotton canvas conveyor belts, nylon conveyor belts, polyester conveyor belts, steel wire rope core conveyor belts, PVC solid core conveyor belts, PVG solid core conveyor belts, steel cable conveyor belts, etc.
Classified by product structure, they include: layered conveyor belts, solid core conveyor belts, steel wire rope core conveyor belts, steel cable conveyor belts, tubular conveyor belts, textured conveyor belts, edged conveyor belts, reduced-layer conveyor belts, etc.
For convenience, we generally use a unified method to represent various conveyor belts, and the representation methods of various types of conveyor belts
1. Common representation method for layered conveyor belts (the standard representation method is different; please refer to the provisions of standard GB7984 for details):
Taking NN200 1000&$井$215;6(6+3)as an example, NN200 indicates nylon type 200, 1000 indicates the width of the belt, 6 indicates the number of nylon fabric layers, and (6+3) indicates that the upper and lower cover rubbers have thicknesses of 6 mm and 3 mm, respectively.
2. Common representation method for steel wire rope core conveyor belts:
Taking ST1000 H 1000 ? 4.0-6.0-6.0 as an example:
ST1000 indicates the strength Specification, which is 1000N/mm
H indicates the performance level of the cover rubber
1000 indicates the product width in mm
4.0 indicates the diameter of the steel wire rope in mm
6.0-6.0 indicates the thickness of the upper and lower cover rubbers in mm
3. Representation method for solid core conveyor belts
Generally, PVC and PVG solid core flame-retardant conveyor belts for coal mines are represented by strength level and belt width. Strength levels are generally divided into: levels 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and **to 16, with corresponding strengths of: 680S, 800S, 1000S, 1250S, 1**S, 1600S, **0S, 2000S, 2240S, 2500s, 2800S, 3100S and 3**S. The belt widths are generally: 500 mm, 650 mm, 800 mm, 1000 mm, 1200 mm, 1** mm, 1600 mm, **0 mm, etc.
China stipulates that all conveyor belt products used underground in coal mines must be flame-retardant and anti-static conveyor belts that meet relevant Chinese standards. Commonly used conveyor belts in coal mining enterprises now include: PVC solid core flame-retardant and anti-static conveyor belts, PVG solid core flame-retardant and anti-static conveyor belts, and steel wire rope core flame-retardant and anti-static conveyor belts.
Flame-retardant and anti-static conveyor belts mainly specify the safety performance of the product: 1. Alcohol lamp burning; 2. Surface resistance; 3. Roller friction; 4. Simulated roadway propane combustion. These test items characterize the safety performance of the product.
